Region Jönköping County created e-merge, a three-year project, to help Jönköping claim and keep the number one spot as the region where e-commerce and logistics can enjoy all the the prerequisites required for optimal success. The county is firmly set on becoming a leader in digital business and logistics for the benefit of both established and new businesses. Jönköping County is on a fast track of becoming a leading knowledge and development center – Sweden’s and Scandinavia’s foremost e-commerce hub. In collaboration with Jönköping Institute of Technology, Science Park, the county’s municipalities and a proactive business community represented by Jönköping Chamber of Commerce, e-merge links research, public development resources and local entrepreneurship together. Jönköpings is emerging and evolving into the heart of e-commerce and logistics in Sweden – merging digital services and the physical world into one.
